If still present, first remove the old damping ring from the bayonet connector of your system carrier/headshell.  2. Simply slip the new resonance damper over the bare connector and your system is ready for quick and safe installation on any SME or EMT standard connector!  IMPORTANT Only correctly adjusted turntables can realise the full potential of your records and your entire playback system.  Incorrectly set record players, on the other hand, can cause unwanted loss of sound quality and even premature wear or damage to your discs and styli.
