Cartridges
The cartridge system represents one of the key components of a turntable. It converts the mechanical signal read from the groove into an electrical one. In turntables, the cartridge comprises the stylus, the cantilever, the transducer and the housing. A precisely cut stylus tip made of diamond, sapphire or ruby picks up the movement from the record’s grooves and transmits it the transducer via the cantilever, which is flexibly mounted on rubber suspension. The transducer is where the electrical signal is generated. The almost endless configuration possibilities of material, cut, transducer and other factors mean that the sound of a music system can be uniquely modified to the listener’s requirements. Whether as spare parts or for the targeted modification of your system’s sound, we stock cartridge systems from many well-known manufacturers, for all audiophile preferences and for almost all turntables.
